Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, and diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take x-rays, which include a full mouth series of x-rays for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of interproximal decay of the posterior teeth.
E4D - Cad Cam/Cerec Prosthetics
Cerec are tooth-colored porcelain inlays/onlays/crowns that are prepared and cemented the same day. We utilize the newest in 3-dimensional scanning of the tooth and a sophisticated computer to create a custom inlay/onlay/crown in one visit. This procedure requires no impressions or temporaries. You leave with your work complete. This is will require a consult for evaluation of the necessary procedure and scheduling.
We utilize the Lumineers or the Vivaneers System for veneers. “Lumineers or Vivaneers” are a more conservative, have minimal to no preparation of the natural tooth, are ultra-thin, and have great esthetics. We also utilize other types of thicker porcelain veneers. Either system is great for tetracycline damage, darkened or damaged tooth structure.
Invisalign Orthodontic Treatments
Invisalign uses a series of clear non-metal retainers to move the teeth into the desired position. You remove them while you are eating and cleaning your teeth, and then wear them for the remainder of the day until treatment is complete. To start an evaluation, we would need to have a complete exam and x-rays, take digital photos of your teeth and impressions for evaluation and treatment decisions.
Tooth Colored Restorations ( BPA & Bis- DMA Free)
Tooth-colored fillings that are light cured to match your teeth based on the proper shade selection for your teeth. They are non-metal fillings and can replace the non-metal appearance that can darken the appearance of your teeth. Our filling material does not contain Bisphenol A or Bis-DMA materials, per the testing of the Kerr Company.
You can have a new smile with all-porcelain crowns. For the posterior, we use porcelain fused to metal, porcelain, silver or gold.
Using high quality gold and the lab, we create your inlay/onlay/crown. This procedure does require two appointments.
Partials and Dentures
For missing teeth, we can make dentures or removable partials for you.
We will work with an implant placement specialist to create an implant for a missing single tooth, missing multiple teeth, or placement of a removable appliance. We can also utilize the Implants to stabilize/better retain a full or partial denture. We do not surgical place the implant, we only rebuild/restore the dentition on the implant.
Our state-of-the-art, in office Power Bleaching system will make your teeth whiter in less than 1.5 hours. Another option is our home bleaching system you take with you for results in 2 weeks. You can also consider a combination program of both systems for optimal, long-term results.
We advise children come for an initial scheduled visit with our office for their first dental health exam starting at age two. We will start by introducing children to the dental chair, suction, water rinsing, and counting teeth. We will review home care techniques and, if the child is compliant, we will continue with a cleaning and fluoride treatment. If all goes well, the young patient can choose from a variety of prizes out of our treasure trunk!
You should have a standard cleaning at least twice a year. A periodontal treatment includes an Adult Prophy (basic cleaning). If it has been over a year since your last cleaning or you have a history of periodontal disease, possible treatment will include either a full mouth debridement and/or Scaling and Root Planning (deeper cleaning) to stabilize the disease process.
Treatment for Clenching/Bruxism/Sport Guards
Whether you are an athlete or a casual participant, you should wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth. If you grind your teeth while you sleep, a bite guard will help reduce symptoms of TMJ and wear on your teeth. We custom make mouth guards in both soft and hard materials.
Root Canal Therapy
We perform root canals on anterior and premolar teeth based on the clinical presentation.
Our office uses a KODAK digital sensor for x-rays instead of film. Utilization of digital imaging reduces the radiation used for x-rays by sixty to seventy percent. The digital system immediately downloads into our computer system, and it is visible before the next film is taken. In addition, there are no chemical used to develop the x-rays.
Our office uses a small camera, smaller than the size of a dental mirror, to take a photograph of any areas inside your mouth as needed for diagnosis and treatment. We utilize the camera for decay, defective restorations, gum problems, and a variety of other needs to help better educate the patient on recommended treatment. To visualize an area being described and seeing the area represented on the computer screen assists the patient in understanding their oral health better.
Our office can help you with the decision of any possible extractions. However, our office does not utilize nitrous oxide or any high-level conscious sedation techniques. Our practice does have a list of oral surgeons that we refer too that can manage patients with sedation as needed. Depending on your needs, we can guide you to those specials that can best care for your needs.
